When Is The 2024 Cheltenham Festival?

The 2024 Cheltenham Festival takes place at Cheltenham Racecourse from Tuesday 12th to Friday 15th March.

The four days of racing include Champion Day, Festival Wednesday, St. Patrick's Thursday and Gold Cup Day.

About The Cheltenham Festival

The Cheltenham Festival is looked forward to all year by horse racing fans and is one of the biggest horse racing events in the world.

The four-day festival features some of the best jump races, horses and jockeys with some of the highlights of the festival being the Stayers' Hurdle, the Champion Hurdle and of course, the prestigious Cheltenham Gold Cup.

The Cheltenham Festival is loved by both racegoers and those watching from home and bookmakers often run an increased number of racing offers throughout the festival to attract bets from both new and existing customers.

Cheltenham Festival Ante Post Tips

Races at the Cheltenham Festival can be the perfect opportunity to place ante-post bets and take advantage of the big early prices offered by the bookies.

Placing ante-post bets often means that you're able to get bigger odds on the horses but they don't come without risks.

Cheltenham betting markets open months in advance of the festival getting underway and a lot can happen during that time. Horses may withdraw from the race due to several reasons and if you haven't protected your bet with Non-Runner Money Back, you'll lose your stake.

I will be providing both ante-post Cheltenham Festival tips as well as daily tips. If Non-Runner No Bet is available, it's likely that I'll recommend that bookie for the bet providing that the odds are also favourable at the time.

Best Bookmakers For The Cheltenham Festival

There are dozens of bookmakers online that take bets on horse racing as well as races at the Cheltenham Festival. The vast majority of punters stick with a bookie that they know but by doing so, they often miss out on bigger prices, extra places and other horse racing offers.

When choosing a bookmaker to place your bets on the Cheltenham Festival with, you should consider which ones are offering Non-Runner No Bet if you are placing your bets on advance. Similarly, if you are placing each way bets, you may be best off betting with a bookmaker offering extra places on the race to increase the chances of your bet winning.

I've listed some of the best Cheltenham Festival bookies below. I hold accounts and have used each of these betting sites and continue to do so when they are offering the best prices and racing offers.

Cheltenham Festival Betting Offers

The main aim when betting on the Cheltenham Festival is to back winners. However, we also need to ensure that we're getting the greatest returns when our bets do win and increase our chances of winning by incorporating any available Cheltenham offers.

Here are a few betting offers that you're likely to find available from the top UK bookies for the 2024 Cheltenham Festival:

Best Odds Guaranteed

I always recommend placing your racing bets with a bookmaker that offers Best Odds Guaranteed. This applies to daily racing bets as well as those on the big festivals.

Best Odds Guaranteed can result in significantly greater returns over time and so its a no-brainer of an offer to take up when it's available.

Extra Places

Online bookies offer Extra Places on horse races every single day. However, not every bookmaker offers them and when they do, they're not on every race.

You have to shop around to see which betting sites are offering extra places on the races that you're betting on but during the Cheltenham Festival, there's a good chance that at least one bookie will be paying out on more places for each race.

Non-Runner No Bet

If you're placing your bets on the Cheltenham Festival early, Non-Runner No Bet is an offer you want to look out for.

NRNB is an insurance from which the bookie will refund your stake should your horse not run in the race.

You can lose a lot of money placing ante-post bets without Non-Runner No Bet which makes this a must-have offer for the Cheltenham Festival.
